Stanford University School of Medicine seeks an Assistant Dean for Educational Programs and Services to lead a comprehensive portfolio spanning undergraduate to postdoctoral education, CME, and Lane Medical Library. The role directs strategy, finances, and operations across EPS with a focus on learner experience and innovation.

The candidate will partner with senior leaders to implement scalable structures, optimize resources, and advance regulatory and accreditation readiness while fostering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and ten years of relevant experience in administrative and financial management or equivalent.
• Advanced degree or extensive leadership experience in academic/educational administration beneficial.
• Experience leading complex educational programs and services in a large academic medical center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff, hire and develop personnel, and drive organizational goals.
• Define EPS mission and translate academic vision into actionable operating goals.
• Integrate medical, graduate, CME and postdoctoral education into a scalable structure.
• Advise on policy, accreditation standards, and institutional compliance.
• Lead long-range strategic planning and multi‑year budgeting for EPS (~$125M).
• Champion initiatives and manage high-visibility redesign and innovation projects.
