Job summary

Stanford University School of Medicine seeks a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as Assistant Dean for Educational Programs and Services (EPS). This role provides strategic direction and operational oversight across a broad portfolio, including undergraduate medical education, graduate education, GME, CME, postdoctoral affairs, and Lane Medical Library.

Reporting to the COO and collaborating with senior deans, the Assistant Dean translates academic vision into actionable operating goals,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and ten years of relevant administrative and financial management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of EPS areas and direct staff to achieve goals and vision.
• Define and advance EPS mission translating academic vision into operating goals.
• Lead operational planning to integrate medical, graduate, GME, CME, and postdoctoral education.
• Provide strategic counsel on policy, learner services, accreditation, and compliance.
• Lead long-range strategic planning supporting the School of Medicine’s educational mission.
• Oversee allocation of staffing, financial, facilities, and resources with focus on sustainability.
