Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA/CPA preferred.
• 5+ years in a similar role at a professional services firm.
• Proficient in financial statement prep, year-end close, treasury, and monthly reporting.
• Strong ledger/GL management, journal entries, and tax compliance.
• Excellent Excel skills and experience with financial software.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Overseeing the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Managing treasury functions, ensuring adequate cash flow to meet the firm's operational needs.
• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and coordinating with external auditors.
• Providing leadership in the development and continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
• Overseeing trust accounting, maintaining the ledger, and ensuring accurate GL entries.
• Assisting in the development of internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
• Collaborating with management on the presentation of financial results and forecasts to senior leadership.
