Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is supporting a market-leading manufacturer in its search for a Controller in the Greater Hartford area. This role owns the full finance function, drives month-end close, and partners with executive leadership on budgeting and strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate has prior Controller experience in a lean environment and can manage the entire accounting cycle with minimal supervision, with exposure to international partners a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Previous Controller experience in a small or lean accounting environment, or a Senior Accountant ready to step into a Controller role.
• Ability to independently manage the full accounting cycle with minimal supervision.
• Experience working with international or global business partners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, payroll, and banking activities.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support.
• Oversee tax compliance, filings, payments, and coordination with external tax advisors.
• Support budgeting, business planning, cost analysis, and strategic projects alongside company leadership.
• Collaborate with global teams on product costing, reporting, and operational initiatives.
