Compass Business Solutions Inc is conducting a confidential search for an Assistant Controller south of Pittsburgh. The role partners with the VP of Finance to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting integrity, and internal controls.

The candidate will manage GL, monthly closes, balance-sheet reconciliations, and provide oversight for AP/AR workflows, manufacturing accounting, and ERP optimization, with leadership over the finance team and involvement in budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field required.
• CPA certification or ability to obtain CPA preferred.
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience in manufacturing accounting and cost accounting preferred.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel, financial modeling, and ERP systems required.
• Experience leading ERP implementations or financial workflow automation preferred.

Aufgaben

• Oversee monthly close, general ledger, and journal entries for accurate reporting.
• Direct balance-sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and unusual transactions.
• Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements and executive reports.
• Lead governance for global AP and AR functions with VP of Finance.
• Provide accounting mentorship and guidance to staff.
• Manage manufacturing accounting processes, including inventory and COGS analysis.
• Drive policies, procedures, internal controls, and ERP improvements.
• Lead and develop personnel and support succession planning.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow modeling, and advanced analysis.
