Job summary

Utility Services Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our leadership team in Camp Hill, PA. You will oversee financial reporting, month-end closes, budgeting, and project-based accounting, ensuring accuracy and strong internal controls across the organization.

The role partners with operations to improve cost visibility, profitability, and forecasting, while guiding the development of the finance team and processes for scalable growth.

Qualifications

• Experience leading month-end close and producing financial statements.
• Strong understanding of project-based accounting and job costing.
• Ability to develop financial dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and maintain financial records and monthly reports.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes and analysis.
• Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Oversee payroll accuracy and labor cost allocations.
• Manage job costing, WIP, and revenue recognition for projects.
• Create financial dashboards and management reporting.
• Support audits, budgeting, forecasting, and lender reporting.
• Supervise accounting staff and grow the department.
