The ideal candidate will translate complex financial information into clear insights for executives and non-financial professionals, balancing multiple priorities and driving issues through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee timely, accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Lead a robust balance sheet reconciliation review process, reviewing supporting detail, signing off on ending balances, and ensuring discrepancies are identified, researched, and resolved.
• Analyze general ledger activity and variances, identify underlying issues, and recommend corrective actions to management.
• Drive the month-end close and reporting process, continuously looking for opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, consistency, and repeatability.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries and ensure appropriate support for financial reporting.
• Present financial results and accounting matters to non-financial professionals, translating complex information into practical business implications and recommended actions.
• Provide financial and management consulting to clients, identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen cash flow, reduce expenses, and drive EBITDA.
• Manage competing deadlines and multiple pressing client priorities while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and clear communication.
• Identify accounting and operational issues proactively rather than waiting for them to surface during close or reporting.
• Support compliance with applicable accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate accounting and financial documentation required by internal and external auditors.
• Review the work of accounting team members and provide coaching, direction, and training to establish clear, consistent processes.
