Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to FP&A.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and internal controls.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Assist with annual budgets and build financial models for analysis.
• Support internal controls and coordinate with external auditors.
• Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting with clear, actionable insights.
• Assist with annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Analyze actuals vs. budget and provide variance explanations to leadership.
• Build financial models to evaluate sponsorship ROI, event profitability, and operational efficiency.
• Partner cross-functionally to align financial planning with operational objectives.

This hybrid role blends core accounting responsibilities with analytical support for budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Compliance

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable related to operations, sponsorships, and vendor contracts
• Support internal controls and coordinate with external auditors

FP&A & Strategic Support

• Assist with annual budgets and rolling forecasts
• Analyze actuals vs. budget and provide variance explanations to leadership
• Build financial models to evaluate sponsorship ROI, event profitability, and operational efficiency
• Partner cross-functionally to align financial planning with operational objectives

Reporting & Insights

• Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting with clear, actionable insights
• Develop dashboards and KPIs to track performance and cost management
• Provide ad hoc analysis to support leadership and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to FP&A or financial analysis
