Job summary

Belk in Flowood, MS is hiring a Store Asset Protection Lead to support the Store Manager and Asset Protection Manager in reducing shortages and safeguarding profits. You will investigate incidents, train associates, and partner on resolution of shortage issues.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 1+ years in retail/security/military, computer skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Industry certifications are a plus. Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Embody the values of the Asset Protection Mission Statement to protect profitability and foster inclusion.
• Drive compliance of shortage and safety programs by partnering with Store Manager/Asset Protection Manager.
• Develop understanding of profitability to support controllable expenses.
• Proactively reduce shortage by preventing and detecting theft and dishonesty.
• Investigate internal, external and ORC situations following procedures and reporting incidents to AP leadership.
• Ensure the Store Manager is aware of data security and safety issues in the store.
• Maintain positive relationships with law enforcement.
• Manage security systems' operability and reporting.
• Complete special projects with teamwork.
• Provide training to store associates.
