Job summary

Belk is seeking a Store Asset Protection Lead to assist the Store Manager and Asset Protection Manager in executing asset protection and shortage control programs. You will conduct investigations, train associates, and partner on resolution of shortage issues to meet location goals.

Responsibilities include enforcing SOPs, managing security systems, collaborating with law enforcement, and leading proactive efforts to reduce shrink, while ensuring data security and store safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to operate a computer.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• 1+ years of retail, security and/or military experience.

Responsibilities

• Embody the values of the Asset Protection Mission to protect profitability and foster diversity and inclusion.
• Drive compliance of shortage and safety programs by partnering with Store Manager/Asset Protection Manager.
• Develop understanding of profitability to support controllable expenses.
• Proactively reduce shortage and detect theft and dishonesty.
• Investigate internal, external and ORC situations and report incidents to AP leadership.
• Ensure the Store Manager is aware of data security and safety issues.
• Maintain relationships with law enforcement.
• Manage utilization of security systems and report issues.
• Complete special projects with teamwork and collaboration.
