Job summary

Merchants Capital is seeking an Asset Manager, IRE to oversee a portfolio of multifamily loans, ensuring compliance with loan terms and regulations while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role involves monitoring performance, extensions and modifications, earn-outs, cash management, hedging oversight, and ongoing credit monitoring as part of an individual contributor, client-facing position in the DC area.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of real estate asset or portfolio management experience.
• Organized and detail-oriented with excellent customer experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills under deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or real estate.

Responsibilities

• Manage borrower relationships on a portfolio of multifamily loans.
• Ensure compliance with loan documents and regulations.
• Review quarterly financial analyses for deals in portfolio.
• Approve loan extensions, modifications, and escrow disbursements.
• Collaborate with origination and capital markets on refinancing strategies.
