Job summary

Merchants Capital Corporation is seeking an Asset Manager, IRE Asset Management in Washington, DC to oversee a portfolio of multifamily loans and ensure compliance with loan terms and regulations. The role focuses on monitoring performance, extensions, modifications, cash management, hedging, and risk assessment while providing exceptional client service.

The position is an individual contributor role with collaboration across origination, capital markets, and credit teams to maximize asset

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of industry experience in real estate asset or portfolio management.
• Organized, detail-oriented with strong customer experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret data and analyses to support risk management and new applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage borrower relationships on a portfolio of multifamily loans.
• Ensure compliance with loan documents and covenants.
• Review quarterly financial analysis for deals in portfolio.
• Oversee repair/rehab draw and escrow disbursement requests.
• Conduct credit analyses for extensions and modifications.
• Perform risk rating for loans and coordinate with Credit Committee.
