Job summary

CLASQUIN in New York is seeking an Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to manage customer accounts, onboarding, collections, and credit risk monitoring within the Finance Team. You will collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Management to ensure accurate billing, timely collections, and proper credit exposure management.

The role requires 5+ years in AR/collections, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with CargoWise and Workday.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
• 5+ years in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Credit, or related accounting functions
• Knowledge of customer credit assessment, limits, terms, and risk management
• Strong AR and collections procedures; attention to detail and organization
• Excellent communication, follow-up, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with ERP systems and Excel; ability to manage large portfolios
• Experience in logistics/freight forwarding or related industry preferred
• Hands-on with CargoWise and Workday preferred

Responsibilities

• Onboard new customers: credit setup, review of documents, billing terms, and master data
• Monitor AR aging, identify overdue balances, and conduct daily collections
• Apply customer payments, resolve unapplied cash, and reconcile accounts
• Maintain customer data in CargoWise and Workday; update limits and terms
• Communicate payment expectations and resolve disputes to protect customer relationships
• Prepare weekly/monthly AR reports and monitor cash flow and DSO
