Job summary

Eastern Washington University seeks a Manager- Accounts Payable & Travel Accounting to lead AP and Travel Accounting operations and staff. The role includes supervision, ensuring compliance, and serving as the functional lead for Concur travel system.

EWU offers a comprehensive benefits package in addition to salary; salary ranges from $69,643 to $97,500 depending on education, experience, and skills. Regular office hours with occasional evening/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Total combination of 7 years of education and experience in accounting, finance, business administration, accounts payable, travel, financial disbursements or operational accounting.
• One year of experience supervising fiscal support staff.
• Experience with federal and state regulations and reporting (1099s, sales/use tax, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience with integrated, enterprise level accounting software systems.
• Interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency and/or diversity.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct unit operations, including hiring and supervision of Accounts Payable and Travel staff.
• Oversee invoicing, vouchers in Banner AP, and travel accounting processes.
• Ensure policy compliance and timely processing of payments and encumbrances.
• Lead system administration and process improvements for AP systems and travel modules.
• Provide training and support to university departments on AP and travel accounting.
