Job summary

Elon University in Elon, North Carolina, is seeking an Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement Initiatives to develop and execute a strategic vision for alumni relations, volunteerism and professional development, engaging alumni as partners and investors.

The role leads on-campus and virtual programs, coordinates a portfolio of alumni volunteer opportunities, and collaborates with campus units to promote career services and lifelong learning for alumni and their networks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: ability to present to diverse groups, meet with constituents at all levels, manage multiple projects, and demonstrate leadership and customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Connect with alumni via email, social media, mailings, phone, and in-person meetings.
• Coordinate and facilitate online webinars, workshops, content, and digital resources.
• Develop partnerships with campus departments to highlight career services and professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate on engagement communications across platforms (Lifelongelon.com, LinkedIn, newsletter).
• Identify alumni for volunteer roles and board prospects; recruit and energize volunteers.
• Support Elon events (Homecoming, reunions, Alumni Weekend) and related activities.
• Provide exceptional customer service and uphold professional standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and promote inclusive community building.
