Job summary

HPL Apollo LLC in Los Angeles is seeking an Air Freight Import Account Manager to own and grow key customer accounts in the air import division. You will manage shipments from pre-arrival to final delivery, ensure timely customs clearance, and coordinate with brokers, airlines, and logistics partners to meet service commitments.

The role requires 3–5 years in air freight import or freight forwarding, strong knowledge of CBP regulations, and proven account management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of air freight import, customs brokerage, or international logistics experience.
• Proven account management and customer-facing experience in freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of CBP regulations and customs entry procedures.
• Proficient in English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Maintain full ownership of assigned air import customer accounts and ensure exceptional service.
• Manage air import shipments from pre-arrival through customs clearance and final delivery.
• Coordinate customs clearance activities with CBP, PGAs, and other regulators.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, brokers, airlines, and logistics partners.
• Review documents for accuracy and compliance; resolve issues with brokers to minimize delays.
• Negotiate pricing and service agreements while protecting margins.
• Identify opportunities to grow accounts through additional services.
• Provide shipment visibility, KPI updates, and performance reviews to customers.
• Collaborate with operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
