Job summary

Turing seeks an operations leader to own the production system powering our software‑engineering data programs. You will translate complex research requirements into predictable delivery, balancing quality, throughput, timelines, and cost across large, distributed teams.

You will inspect code, review tests, and push back when a rubric fails to deliver signals, while not acting as principal engineer for every program. Your role focuses on scalable, high‑quality outputs.

Qualifications

• Background in software engineering or technical program management.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities to identify bottlenecks and explain fixes to clients.
• Customer-facing experience: work with high-profile clients and manage expectations.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of each project, from scope to quality and timeline.
• Ensure data integrity and quality across all annotation and evaluation workflows.
• Coordinate large distributed teams (100–1000+ contributors) and define contributor profiles and onboarding.
• Build and maintain relationships with frontier AI labs, translating research intent into actionable tasks.
• Create reusable playbooks and automate quality sampling, defect classification, and reporting.
