Mercor in San Francisco is seeking an experienced events leader to own our events end to end — part strategist, part operator. You set the strategy and the quality bar, then make it happen: deciding which events are worth our time, what format lands, and who’s in the room.

A junior events and admin team scales the work, not runs it for you. You’ll own the events strategy and annual calendar across enterprise and human‑data GTM, customer/lab GTM, recruiting, and internal programs, plus create

Qualifications

• 6–8 years in events, field marketing, or experiential roles for technical or executive audiences.
• Defensible opinions on what makes an event land and the ability to push back on stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial executor who is hands-on with vendors, details, and run‑of‑show.
• Structured thinker who translates ambiguity into clear plans and communicates across teams.
• Comfortable representing Mercor to founders, lab leaders, and senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Own the events strategy and annual calendar across four areas: enterprise/human‑data GTM, customer/lab GTM, recruiting, and internal.
• Set the creative POV and quality bar for every event to drive high engagement.
• Lead Mercor conferences and presence at external events (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML).
• Develop high‑signal executive and customer programs: intimate dinners, roundtables, and talent events.
• Manage recruiting events from university programs to hackathons and scale internal events.
• Oversee hands‑on execution: vendors, cross‑functional coordination, and detail‑oriented delivery.
• Ensure events generate relationships, pipeline, and talent, not just attendance.
• Create measurement and repeatable playbooks to sharpen programs over time.
