Job summary

BYD North America is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead the corporate AP function. You will balance hands-on operations with strategic leadership, ensuring smooth P2P processes, accurate month-end closings, and strong team mentoring.

You will perform regular financial reviews, identify cost inefficiencies, and drive systemic efficiency, accuracy, and timely processing across all entities in the US region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, CMA, or professional certifications are highly preferred.
• Minimum 5–8 years of corporate accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role within a US-affiliated or multinational company.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX/internal control frameworks, and Segregation of Duties (SoD).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
• Enforce strict 3-way match protocols (PO, Goods Receipt, and Invoice) across all legal entities and track variances.
• Lead AP month-end and year-end closing, including accrual estimates, aging analysis, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Develop and present monthly/quarterly AP review reports highlighting spending trends and process efficiencies.
