Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a General Accounting Manager-Systems & Analytics to lead GL, month-end close, and internal controls in a fast-paced environment at our Smithfield, VA campus.

You’ll drive system enhancements, data governance, and cross-functional partnering with Finance and business leaders. Qualifications include a BA in Accounting, 5+ years of accounting leadership, CPA preferred, and proficiency in SAP and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline with 5+ years of accounting experience.
• CPA designation preferred; public accounting experience encouraged.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and close processes.
• Lead month-end close, issue resolution, and reliability of financial reporting.
• Manage co-sourced accounting operations and ensure policy compliance.
