Job summary

Budderfly is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting department and ensure accuracy of financial records. The role covers day-to-day finance operations, month‑end and year‑end close, and providing insights to management.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, detail orientation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Hybrid work schedule applies with office days set for Tue–Thu.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting/FP&A experience.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Ability to direct and supervise teams and manage priorities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
• Experience with month-end cutoff transactions and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, documenting, verifying, and reporting financial information.
• Manage daily accounting operations including AP/AR, cash receipts, GL, and payroll.
• Oversee month-end close and intercompany reconciliation processes.
• Generate reports with financial and nonfinancial indicators for management and stakeholders.
• Recommend improvements to systems and processes and lead corrective actions.
• Support annual external audit processes and related tasks.
• Contribute to special projects as needed.
