Job summary

Cobalt Service Partners is building a leading commercial access and security integration business in North America, backed by private equity. We hire Accounting Managers on an ongoing basis to run accounting operations at our operating companies.

This is a hands-on role that focuses on close, reporting, controls, and payroll oversight for a single operating company. Our environment is project-based, with revenue recognition, job costing, and inventory discipline at the core.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on monthly close.
• Strong command of GAAP, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Experience closing and reporting across multiple entities or subsidiaries.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and the ability to learn new ones quickly.
• Strong Excel and data-modeling skills; ability to bring structure to ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Close & reporting: run the monthly close, deliver a fast and accurate flash, and improve speed and accuracy.
• Project accounting: manage revenue recognition and job costing, inventory when applicable.
• Reporting & forecasting: prepare the financial package and variance analysis, manage a 13-week cash flow forecast.
• Maintain and improve controls, budgets, KPIs, and regulatory compliance.
• Support ERP implementations and integrations with the regional finance team.
• Where a team exists, supervise and develop staff; ensure payroll, AR, and AP accuracy.
