Dessert Holdings Inc. is recruiting an Accounting Director/Assistant Controller to helm month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls from its St.

Paul, MN headquarters. You will lead a team across multiple entities and currencies, partner with executives, external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel to strengthen governance and scalable growth, and drive continuous improvement in accounting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Active CPA license required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or audit experience.
• Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and research skills.
• Proven leadership and project management in fast-growth environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% within US/Canada.

Responsibilities

• Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close across multiple entities with strong controls.
• Lead technical accounting positions and develop accounting policies and memoranda.
• Manage financial reporting, consolidate statements, and support public-company requirements.
• Oversee Form 10-K/10-Q/8-K filings and future proxy statements with Legal.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors for tax provisions and disclosures.
• Drive scalable processes, automation, and standardization for efficiency.
• Liaise with external auditors; manage audits and issue resolutions.
• Collaborate with tax, FP&A, legal, operations, and IT leadership.
• Oversee mergers and acquisitions accounting and post-acquisition reporting.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team and cross-functional partners.
