Job summary

All About Books LLC seeks an Accounting Director to lead financial infrastructure, reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls. You will drive strategic planning, budgeting, and multi-state operations while mentoring a growing finance team.

This role combines hands-on leadership with strategic oversight to scale the organization and ensure robust financial governance in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting/financial management experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing accounting personnel.
• Experience overseeing financial reporting, close processes, internal controls, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Strategic financial leadership and partnering with executive leadership.
• Direct and oversee all accounting operations and monthly/quarterly close processes.
• Coordinate federal/state/local tax compliance and multi-state reporting.
• Lead internal control development and audit liaison.
• Hire, mentor, and manage accounting staff; drive process improvements.
