Job summary

Mexcor seeks an Accountant for its Houston location to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance across multiple entities within the Morales Capital Group portfolio.

Reporting to the Controller, the role supports month-end close, reconciliations, fixed assets, leases, and the preparation of monthly financial packages for leadership and auditors. Strong technical accounting skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP bank reconciliation modules (Encompass, NetSuite or similar).

Responsibilities

• Month-end close and reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and reconcile prepaid expenses.
• Record fixed assets and depreciation; manage leases per ASC 842.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting for management and external stakeholders.
• Support annual budgeting, audits, and cross-department data gathering.
