Job summary

Mexcor seeks an experienced Accountant in Houston to support month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting across the Morales Capital Group portfolio. You will work under the Controller to ensure accuracy and timely financial data for management and external auditors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 2–5 years of accounting experience, with strong US GAAP knowledge and ASC 842 familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or higher.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with ASC 842 and audits is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Month-end close processes across multiple entities, including reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements for leadership and external stakeholders.
• Maintain prepaid expense, fixed assets, leases and balance sheet schedules.
• Assist with annual budgeting and multi-state compliance reporting.
• Support audits and audit readiness across the Morales Capital Group portfolio.
