Job summary

Korn Ferry is partnering with our client in Humble, TX for an Accounting Manager role. The position leads the monthly close across multiple entities, strengthens internal controls, and drives process improvements with a focus on automation and accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of accounting experience, CPAs preferred, and a track record of managing and developing accounting teams in a PE-backed or acquisitive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years of direct people leadership and team development experience.
• Experience owning the month-end close process in a multi-entity organization.
• Strong experience with consolidations and intercompany accounting.
• CPA, active or in progress, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across all entities.
• Drive a shortened and standardized close calendar with deadlines and accountability.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and roll-forwards.
• Own the balance sheet reconciliation process within BlackLine or similar.
• Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled, reviewed, and signed off on schedule.
• Coordinate audit deliverables and respond to auditor requests.
• Support multi-entity consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and financial reporting.
• Support lender and PE sponsor reporting, including covenant packages.
