Job Summary

The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for mastering SHI's value proposition to exceed revenue and profit goals by developing strategic sales approaches and cultivating relationships with both existing and new customers. This role involves identifying sales opportunities, collaborating with internal support teams and external partners, and effectively communicating SHI's comprehensive portfolio of solutions tailored to customer objectives. Additionally, the Account Executive builds market awareness through participation in industry events and stays informed on industry trends.

This position is remote with a home office setup, but requires residence in Texas to support business needs.

Role Responsibilities

  • Master SHI’s value proposition to exceed revenue and profit goals, develop sales strategies, and create pricing proposals.
  • Cultivate relationships with existing customers and establish new ones through targeted sales techniques.
  • Identify and create sales opportunities to meet targets, develop existing accounts, and acquire new customers.
  • Collaborate with sales management to manage opportunities and meet quarterly and annual targets.
  • Build partnerships with internal support teams and external industry partners to drive business.
  • Understand customer business objectives and IT priorities to provide tailored solutions.
  • Communicate SHI’s portfolio of products and solutions effectively to customers and partners.
  • Stay aware of industry competition and showcase SHI’s offerings to defend and grow market share.
  • Engage with support teams to identify new opportunities and leverage resources.
  • Increase market awareness through participation in industry events and organizations.
  • Continuously educate oneself on industry trends, products, and market conditions.

Skill Level Requirements

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
  • 3-5 years of successful sales experience
  • 50% of time outside of an office meeting with customers
  • Travel within Texas and to SHI, partner, and customer events
  • Ability to obtain required sales/technical certifications within 90 days

The annual pay range is $120,000 - $250,000, including base salary and commissions, dependent on experience and market.
