Job summary

Cengage Group is seeking a Strategic Account Director to own institutional revenue and relationships within the North America Higher Education Sales Group. You will guide multi-year plans, renewals, and expansions, engaging senior academic leaders and aligning with CU/EA/IA models.

You will forecast and shape contract strategy, drive new business development at the executive level, and partner across internal teams to ensure customer value and growth in a dynamic education technology environment.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree required.
• 5+ years of successful experience in educational or enterprise-level sales.
• Proven ability to own and complete strategic account plans with long-term revenue accountability.
• Strong background in high-level negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead forecasting and multi-year account planning for assigned institutions.
• Develop contract strategy, renewals, and expansion opportunities.
• Own account strategy and forecast for each institution; align with leadership priorities.
• Drive CU/EA/IA renewals and revenue growth through executive engagement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution.
