Job summary

Nutrition 101 LLC in Pendleton, IN, seeks a Logistics Coordinator – 3PL Broker to join our operations team. This hands-on role coordinates third-party carriers, loads, and equipment to ensure safe, cost-effective transportation nationwide.

You will manage day-to-day carrier activities across regions, negotiate rates, and maintain carrier relationships while upholding safety and service quality. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years in logistics, transportation coordination, brokerage, or supply chain ops.
• Experience managing third-party carriers and freight brokerage.
• Strong understanding of load planning, carrier management, pricing, and market conditions.
• Ability to source current market, secure capacity, and negotiate rates.
• Proven ability to manage multiple shipments and adapt quickly.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; work independently.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal teams, customers, and third-party carriers to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective transportation services.
• Continuously build, maintain, and manage a nationwide third-party carrier network.
• Direct daily assignment of loads to third-party carriers based on capacity, demand, and market conditions.
• Source and price freight based on real-time capacity, lane conditions, and trends.
• Negotiate and establish competitive transportation rates by sourcing current market.
• Maintain real-time awareness of logistics landscape to address challenges.
• Be primary contact for carriers and customers, ensuring clear communication.
• Represent the Company with new and existing customers and establish accurate billing rates in internal systems.
• Make critical decisions to keep operations efficient and effective.
• Ensure compliance with safety and company policies.
• Lead by example in adherence to policies and trainings.
• Provide problem-solving support among carriers, drivers, customers, and leadership.
• Support continuous improvement in logistics efficiency and cost management.
• Attend required meetings and training; mentor others as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service through proactive communication.
• Be available to support after-hours or urgent needs.
