Job summary

The City of Lewiston is seeking a Street Maintenance worker to perform a broad range of public works tasks, including street and stormwater repairs, drainage work, and equipment operation. The role supports the Street Maintenance Division and MS4 program requirements.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and two years of related work, plus a Class B driver's license with tank endorsement and a flagger card. This is a full-time, on-site position with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two years of related street maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a variety of street maintenance tools and equipment.
• Familiarity with GIS mapping and asset management data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on City streets, sidewalks, stormwater structures, and related facilities.
• Operate asphalt paver, street sweeper, jet line, and other equipment as assigned.
• Inspect and document stormwater systems, catch basins, pipes, and detention facilities.
• Assist with MS4 program tasks and stormwater inspections.
• Maintain tools and equipment; ensure safe operations and housekeeping.
