Job summary

The City of Fulton is seeking personnel to support the Streets and Traffic Control Divisions in maintaining city roads, storm sewers, and related infrastructure. The role includes snow removal, equipment operation, and safety-focused duties to support public safety and city services.

Responsibilities cover asphalt and concrete repairs, equipment operation, and coordination with teams. Applicants should be 18+, pass drug tests, and be willing to obtain a CDL within required timeframes.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Must pass pre-employment drug testing and periodic testing.
• Must have no felony convictions.
• May be required to work weekends or varying shifts.
• Subject to emergency call-in.
• Ability to operate dump truck, tractor, and mower.
• Follow oral and written instructions; operate various equipment safely.
• Operate vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Assists with culvert repairs, clears ditches, performs snow removal and salt/sand distribution.
• Operates and maintains a range of tools and equipment, adhering to safety procedures.
• Maintains on-call status and professional conduct.
• Assists in equipment operation and preventive maintenance programs.
• Cuts and smooths asphalt, ensuring proper asphalt quantity and safety compliance.
• Assists with concrete repair, including forming, bedrock laying, mixing, and saw-cutting.
