Qualifikationen

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented by one to two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Class A CDL Driver's License for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
• Tasks involve exceptionally strong physical effort and heavy work, with lifting up to 150 pounds; drug screening and fitness to work may be required.

Aufgaben

• Installs warning devices at work sites and sets forms for concrete.
• Pours and finishes concrete and lays stormwater pipe.
• Repairs storm drains, manholes, and pipes; operates snow plow and various heavy equipment.
• Picks up and delivers materials; loads/unloads trucks by hand or equipment.
• Performs routine maintenance on trucks and equipment and provides traffic control devices.
• Completes daily reports on duties performed and assists with road closures during high water.
• Designs, fabricates, and installs street signs and maintains road infrastructure.
• Sprays pesticides for mosquito control and handles miscellaneous city tasks as assigned.
