Job summary

The City of Raleigh seeks a Stormwater Plan Review Engineer to join the Stormwater Management Division within the Engineering Services Department. You will review stormwater plans and calculations and help approve permits to ensure compliance with regulations related to erosion control, post-construction stormwater, floodplains, and riparian buffers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 1–3 years' experience.
• Equivalent combination of training/experience acceptable.
• Knowledge of civil engineering and stormwater management.

Responsibilities

• Reviews development plans and calculations for erosion, sediment, and stormwater controls.
• Uses GIS to research development sites and verify regulatory requirements.
• Provides customer support to property owners, developers, and staff.
• Attends meetings with stakeholders and reports status.
• Maintains project documentation and records.
• Safely operates a City vehicle to visit sites.
