Job summary

The Plan Review Supervisor will oversee the City’s Stormwater Plan Review group within the Raleigh Water Department, guiding 9 staff and directly supervising 4. The role focuses on timely permit reviews for public and private projects.

As the primary advocate for Green Stormwater Infrastructure, you’ll collaborate with project managers and City departments to advance GSI plans and update development-related ordinances.

This position offers the City’s Telework Program with up to 20% remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; 5–7 years in engineering, construction management or related work, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Stormwater Plan Review Group (9 FTE; directly supervise 4).
• Advocate for Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) across public and private developments; coordinate with City departments and stakeholders.
• Coordinate updates to the City’s Unified Development Ordinance and Stormwater Design Manual to stay current with regulations.
