Job summary

The Davey Resource Group, a part of The Davey Tree Expert Company, is seeking a Stormwater and Compliance Inspector to support stormwater compliance services across Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan. You will lead NPDES and SWPPP inspections, coordinate with clients, and integrate compliance into active construction and restoration projects.

Qualifications

• NPDES stormwater and/or SWPPP inspections experience on construction or maintenance projects (1+ years).
• Knowledge of NPDES permitting requirements, Indiana CGP, DEP Chapter 102, PAG-01/PAG-02 regulations, erosion and sediment control BMPs, and stormwater compliance documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with limited supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication for client-facing interactions.

Responsibilities

• Perform NPDES stormwater compliance inspections and reporting per federal, state, and local permit requirements (Indiana CGP, DEP Chapter 102).
• Manage SWPPP inspections and audits to ensure permit compliance.
• Review construction plans to verify ESC effectiveness and practicality for field implementation.
• Coordinate inspection schedules, corrective actions, and documentation tracking for NPDES permitting.
• Serve as client-facing representative for stormwater/NPDES services to support growth in Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan.
• Coordinate with contractors and project teams to ensure proper erosion and sediment control practices.
