MacKay (Lowe Engineers, now part of MacKay) is seeking a Stormwater Engineer to lead MS4 permit administration, compliance, and infrastructure planning. You will coordinate with municipal teams, manage inspections, and guide capital projects while ensuring water quality and flood risk reduction.

The role requires a civil/environmental background with MS4 experience, critical thinking, and strong communication. Hybrid/field components may apply on demanding projects.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, water resources, or a closely related engineering field.
• Progressively responsible experience in stormwater engineering, municipal drainage, water resources, environmental compliance, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of MS4 permit requirements, stormwater best management practices, erosion and sediment control, drainage design, and municipal operations.
• Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, regulations, permits, maps, field data, and technical reports.
• Proficiency with standard office and engineering software; GIS/asset-management modeling tools desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Administer the municipality’s MS4 permit and maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local stormwater requirements.
• Develop, implement, and update the Stormwater Management Program, SOPs, ordinances, and policies.
• Prepare permit applications, annual reports, certifications, schedules, maps, and responses to agencies.
• Track permit commitments and enforcement actions; report on program performance.
• Coordinate activities supporting public education and outreach and illicit discharge elimination.
