Job summary

MacKay is seeking a Civil Project Engineer with a stormwater focus to join our Infrastructure & Development team in Albuquerque, NM. The role emphasizes field leadership, design review, and project management on municipal stormwater projects.

You will collaborate across disciplines, mentor junior staff, and ensure projects meet budget and schedule while pursuing follow-on work. Travel about 25% and relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis in municipal stormwater design
• New Mexico P.E. license required; P.E. in other Southwestern states a plus
• 5–10 years of experience in municipal stormwater design, construction and operations
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification

Responsibilities

• Perform calculations, field work, and coordinate tasks and personnel
• Lead field-oriented tasks on large projects and mentor junior staff
• Manage projects to budget and schedule, and pursue follow-on work with seniors/clients
• Prepare project reports and field logs, and communicate clearly with team members
