Job summary

Lowe Engineers, now part of MacKay, is seeking a full-time Stormwater Engineer to join our Atlanta, GA team. The role involves design, inspection, and oversight of stormwater projects across neighboring municipalities, with occasional travel.

We value experience in civil engineering for public works, with a strong emphasis on quality and client service as part of a growing national infrastructure firm.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• 4-8 years of experience (including internship) in construction, surveying, design, traffic engineering, inspection, or estimating.
• EIT preferred.
• Stormwater inspection and construction oversight experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional and technical civil engineering work in the design, construction, and maintenance of public works facilities.
• Supervise and inspect minor construction and maintenance work on roadways, storm drains, sidewalks, or other public works projects.
• Prepare the design for simple public works projects.
• Prepare exhibits and descriptions for easement and right-of-way agreements.
• Inspect construction materials in conformance with specifications.
• Respond to requests from city residents.
• Identifies potential follow-on work and pursues those concepts with Project/Senior staff members.
• Provides concise, clear written documentation of activities in field logs, memos, and reports.
