Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Stormwater Professional Engineer to lead reviews of flood studies and drainage analyses for development projects across the Fort Worth area. This role supports FEMA compliance, reviews permits, and ensures timely, accurate assessments with strong customer service.

Minimum qualifications include a Civil Engineering degree and a Texas PE license (or eligible to obtain within six months), plus four years in civil engineering with two in stormwater.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Four years of civil engineering experience, including two in Stormwater or Water Resources.
• Texas Professional Engineer registration or ability to obtain within six months.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Review flood studies for conformance with FEMA and City criteria.
• Review drainage and subdivision plans for compliance with ordinances.
• Deliver timely, clear, empathetic customer service and collaboration.
• Coordinate with other City departments and project stakeholders.
• Manage competing priorities and deliver review work on time and within budget.
