Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Sr. Professional Engineer – Stormwater to lead teams in the development and initiation of complex capital infrastructure projects, primarily Stormwater-related, including pipe rehabilitation and channel restoration.

You will manage scope, schedule, and budgets with consultants and coordinate with city officials and the public. Preferred candidates have a TX PE license, extensive stormwater experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Three (3) years of professional civil engineering experience, two (2) of which must be related to design/construction projects or infrastructure design/review of private development projects.
• Professional Engineer registration in the State of Texas; if licensed elsewhere, must obtain TX registration within six months of employment.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to evaluate Stormwater issues and develop scope, schedule, and budget for infrastructure projects.
• Perform construction project management and review consultant plans/specifications; oversee contracts and invoices.
• Coordinate with City officials, residents, and external agencies to ensure project success.
• Provide direct support to Engineering Manager and contribute to policy and procedure improvements.
