Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is hiring a Stormwater Professional Engineer in the Development Services Department. You will review flood studies for FEMA compliance and assess drainage plans for city permits.

With a Texas PE, you will manage multiple projects, coordinate with departments, and deliver timely reviews. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with two remote days per week after six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of civil engineering experience, including 2+ years in Stormwater or Water Resources.
• Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license; out-of-state license requires Texas recertification within 6 months.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Review flood studies submitted for FEMA/LOMR/CLOMR and city criteria.
• Review drainage studies and subdivision plans for compliance with city ordinances.
• Deliver timely, clear customer service and collaborative problem solving.
• Manage multiple priorities and deliverables within budget.
• Coordinate with other city departments, stakeholders, and agencies.
