Citrus County Government is seeking an Engineering Design Technician for Stormwater to perform technical work inspecting construction projects for compliance with submitted plans and specifications. The role includes reviewing plans to meet federal, state, and county standards, and working Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

The position requires knowledge of civil engineering design, SWPPP, ERP and GIS data management, with a focus on accurate field interpretation and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ experience in general civil engineering design, site development, residential development, transportation projects, and stormwater related projects.
• Knowledge interpreting field surveys, site topography, plan review, site grading and construction.
• Requires ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Responsabilités

• Inspect County-owned drainage retention areas for ERP compliance.
• Inspect residential and commercial construction sites for SWPPP compliance.
• Input data into GIS and other software to maintain County records.
• Assist in maintaining NPDES permit requirements and reports.
• Coordinate with county, state, and federal staff as needed.
