Job summary

The Engineer in Training I will support the Stormwater Section in Lecanto, Florida, performing advanced technical tasks including design, planning, and contract administration for projects and retrofits to improve drainage functionality.

Responsibilities include coordinating with consultants, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with CRS, NPDES, and county policies. Travel and fieldwork may be required in the Citrus County service area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 2 years of progressive experience in Civil Engineering (Stormwater) and NPDES.
• Experience in stormwater, roadway, utility, site, and pavement design.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and implement the Stormwater CIP budget and projects.
• Conduct project meetings and coordinate consultants, engineers, designers, and contractors.
• Prepare project work plans, cost estimates, contracts, and technical reports.
