Job summary

Apex Clearing Corporation is seeking a Stormwater Construction Foreman (Heavy equipment/Concrete) in Athens, PA. This full-time position offers 40-55 hours per week with compensation of $25.00-$30.00 per hour and regional travel, typically 85% or more, with a company vehicle and per diem on travel days.

You will operate a range of construction equipment, construct and repair stormwater infrastructure, and travel to multiple project sites while maintaining safety and documenting field

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of underground wet utility construction experience (required).
  • Experience with repair and construction of stormwater infrastructure, concrete structures, rebar and concrete finishing, underground piping, and detention/retention basins (required).
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment (e.g., skid loader, mini-excavator).

Job description

Overview

Stormwater Construction Foreman (Heavy equipment/Concrete) – Athens, PA. Full-Time, 40-55 hours per week. Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience. Regional travel required (typically 85% or more) with company vehicle; per diem of $68 on out-of-town travel days.

What you'll do
  • Construct and repair critical stormwater infrastructure, including underground utilities, concrete structures, and stormwater basins across the central states to help communities stay safe and resilient.
  • Operate a range of construction equipment from hand tools to heavy machinery (e.g., skid loaders, excavators, dozers).
  • Travel during the workweek to different project sites and locations, contributing to project success and impact.
  • Document field observations to support project success and continuous improvement.
  • Prioritize safety by upholding high safety standards on every project.
What you'll need
  • 5-7 years of underground wet utility construction experience (required).
  • Experience with repair and construction of stormwater infrastructure, concrete structures, rebar and concrete finishing, underground piping, and detention/retention basins (required).
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment (e.g., skid loader, mini-excavator).
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and staff.
  • Willingness to travel frequently regionally (85%+ travel).
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record; reliable transportation.
  • Ability to perform manual labor, lift up to 60 pounds, work in confined spaces, and endure inclement weather.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening (drug-free workplace).
