Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc., the nation’s largest homebuilder, seeks a Division Stormwater Compliance Specialist I to oversee the Division Stormwater Management Program ensuring compliance with NPDES and related regulations.

This role requires coordination with corporate and regional teams, managing third‑party contractors, and directing inspections and training within the division. The position emphasizes regulatory liaison, program development, and adherence to federal, state, and local stormwater

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of stormwater related experience.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver's license.
• Within one year of employment, obtain at least one national stormwater certification: CPESC, CESSWI, CPSWQ or CISEC.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Regular exposure to outside weather conditions; moderate noise.

Responsibilities

• Sign and submit stormwater regulatory permit applications.
• Manage the Division Stormwater Management Program in compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with corporate and regional stormwater compliance teams.
• Develop and revise the program per regulatory and industry practices.
• Communicate with regulatory agencies and respond to information requests.
• Conduct inspections and QA audits; provide corrective actions.
• Identify cost-effective stormwater compliance measures.
• Serve as division voice in stormwater emergencies.
• Provide training on stormwater compliance to division personnel.
• Assist in selecting consultants and contractors for compliance work.
