Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc., the nation’s largest homebuilder, is seeking a Division Stormwater Compliance Specialist I in Mobile, AL.

The role focuses on managing the Division Stormwater Management Program under NPDES and applicable regulatory requirements, coordinating with corporate and field teams. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 1+ year stormwater experience, valid driver's license, and credentials such as CPESC, CESSWI, CPSWQ or CISEC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One or more years of stormwater related experience.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Possess or obtain within one year of employment one of the four national stormwater certifications: CPESC, CESSWI, CPSWQ, CISEC.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Sign and submit stormwater permit applications.
• Manage the Division Stormwater Management Program in compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with regulators and internal teams on inquiries and reports.
• Conduct routine inspections and audits; provide corrective actions.
• Identify cost effective stormwater measures and tools.
• Provide compliance training and reports to leadership.
• Travel overnight as required.
