Job summary

The City of Enid seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support storm water drainage and road maintenance. You will operate dozers, graders, loaders, mowers, and other attachment-equipped machines, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with asphalt prep and tree trimming.

A valid Oklahoma Class A CDL is required; a spraying license must be acquired within 1 year. You will lead crew members as needed, set up traffic controls, and work outdoors in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or six months related experience.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to operate heavy machinery.
• Requires Class A CDL upon hire; Department of Agriculture spraying license within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Operate two or more heavy machines and attachments (grader, loader, dozer, mower, etc.).
• Perform daily inspections, lubrication, minor repairs.
• Set up traffic control and work zones; lead crew when needed.
• Assist in asphalt preparation, tree trimming, and debris removal.
• Shovel, load materials, and transport equipment/ trailers.
