Vallen Distribution is seeking a Storeroom Team Leader to join a customer-site team. You will coordinate storeroom operations, train staff, and guide policy adherence while managing materials and tools. You will also address customer issues and support leadership in daily operations.

The role emphasizes leadership, inventory control, safety, and hands-on training at a client location, with opportunities to develop storeroom processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of related experience.
• Demonstrated product, industry and supply chain systems knowledge.
• Strong communication, time management and customer service skills.
• Quality mindset with attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness.
• Proficiency with MS-Office products (Excel, Word) and the ability to learn company software.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level customer service via phone, email or in person.
• Coordinate and perform work involving ordering, receiving, inspecting, returning, unloading, shelving, binning, packing, labeling and maintaining inventory.
• Prioritize and assign tasks to optimize team resources and meet schedules.
• Enter data into databases and retrieve information for inventory records.
• Monitor handling procedures and space utilization; suggest improvements.
• Train and mentor others on storeroom operations and policies.
• Assist with ensuring safe operation of storeroom.
• Perform other related duties as requested.
