Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Storeroom Crib Attendant to manage daily receiving, stocking, issuing and cycle counting at a customer site. You will maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure accurate stock records while working with tools, equipment, and inventory in a dynamic warehouse setting.

The role requires basic math, strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail; forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent coupled with 3+ months relevant experience and/or training.
• Loading, unloading, picking, packing or moving goods in a warehouse environment; forklift / cherry picker experience preferred.
• Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency and/or a demonstrated technical aptitude to learn; preferred tech skills to include but not limited to MS-Office products, Vista, Control, SX.e, Prophet 21.
• Demonstration of basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units to measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals); ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and be self-motivated to accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
• Demonstration of attention to detail and is safety minded.

Responsibilities

• Unload, receive and put away incoming product; check for damage and discrepancies against invoices.
• Accurately sort, label, move and store items; optimize crib space.
• Issue product to site employees; document and maintain records for issued items.
• Enter data into a database to maintain stock records and respond to inquiries.
• Request requisitions to replenish inventory and assist with cycle counts.
• Inspect tools/equipment for defects and report wear to supervisors.
• Deliver tools or equipment to associate work locations and locate lost items.
• Perform related duties as requested.
